 Tim MorrellCamp Hope

Camp Hope is a Christian Appalachian Project which relies on teams of youth and their adult counselors to repair homes of the elderly and disadvantaged in Allegheny County, MD. The team from UMC of Hyde Park typically goes to Camp Hope at the end of June or beginning of July for one week. Youth who are currently in grades 9 through 12 and are members of the UMC of Hyde Park must pre-register their interest to attend and must participate in fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds to support the trip. For more than 20 years, the UMC of Hyde Park has been sending teams to Camp Hope and hundreds of youth and adults have been a blessing to others and have been equally blessed by the experience.

Bridge Builders

Bridge Builders is a youth mission program serving the City of Poughkeepsie area in various tracks including construction, work with seniors and work with children! Local county church youth groups come together for a week in August to serve our local community in need.  Youth from the participating churches work together in this week of Christian service and fellowship!  Group Shot

For more information on either of these programs, contact Joe Marrine, Methodist Youth Fellowship Coordinator.
